Is doubling down on blockbuster construction the way to run a modern studio? Whether or not Warners is really going through with that, Geoff and I get into the weeds about what motivates a filmmaking industry constantly on the hunt for $1 billion and a shipment of plastic toys from China. We’ll also discuss the implications of shifting all your money into big bets in an age of demanding fans and super-monotony.
Plus, is it a curse or blessing when sequels for cult movies we love get cancelled?

How extensively do you outline and how often do you go off on a tangent from that outline and have to revise it during the first draft?
Asked by scriptsnstuff-blog
Dug into this in the most recent Vomit Draft episode.
Non-audio style: Scott outlines a healthy amount and diverges from it 50% of the time when better ideas come up.
Geoff hardly outlines at all (really none) but has a clear vision in mind for where the characters will go.
But.. you should experiment and find what works best for you. Thanks for the question!
